Privacy, in plain language.

This notice explains what personal information Lucinotte collects through this website, why we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.

We do not sell personal information. If we introduce analytics or marketing tools, we will use them only on an appropriate lawful basis and provide any consent controls required by law.

Who is responsible for your information?

Lucinotte is the controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at [email protected].

What do we collect?

The enquiry form asks for your name and email address. Your business name, online link, and message are optional. We receive similar information if you email us directly.

When you visit, our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, referring page, pages requested, and date and time of access.

We may also record your cookie or analytics preferences and information produced by analytics tools if you consent to their use.

Why do we use it?

  • To reply to your question or website enquiry.
  • To prepare a scope, price, or next step you requested.
  • To prevent spam and keep the form and website secure.
  • To keep records if an enquiry becomes paid work.
  • To understand and improve website performance if analytics are introduced and you have made the required choice.

For service enquiries and project work, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract or performing our contract with you. We rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure Lucinotte and respond to business enquiries. We rely on legal obligation where records must be kept for tax, accounting, or other legal requirements. Where consent is required for analytics or electronic marketing, consent is our basis and you may withdraw it at any time.

You are not required by law to send an enquiry. We need a name and email address so we know who to reply to; the other form fields are optional. We do not use an enquiry to subscribe you to marketing automatically, and we do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Who handles it?

The website is hosted by Vercel. Form enquiries are sent through Cloudflare and delivered to our email account, which is provided by Google. These providers process information for us so the website and email can operate.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s applicable transfer safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell enquiry details.

How long do we keep it?

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose described. We normally retain unsuccessful enquiries for up to 24 months after the last contact. Client, contract, invoice, and project records may be kept for up to seven years after the relationship ends where needed for legal, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes. Security logs and analytics data, if used, are kept for the shorter period set by the relevant provider and our configuration. We then delete or anonymise the information.

What does the restaurant demo store?

The editable restaurant demo saves a copy of your sample changes in local storage in your own browser. Those edits are not sent to Lucinotte. Use the demo’s Reset button or clear this site’s browser data to remove them.

Cookies and analytics

The website may use strictly necessary storage to provide requested features, remember privacy choices, maintain security, and operate the local restaurant demo. These technologies do not require consent where they are essential to the service you request.

We may introduce analytics to understand visits, page use, errors, and website performance. Where consent is required, non-essential analytics will remain off unless you choose to enable them. You will be able to decline or withdraw that choice without losing access to the core website.

Before any analytics provider is enabled, we will update this notice and the website’s privacy controls with the provider, purpose, information collected, and retention period.

Your rights

Depending on the situation, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You can email [email protected] to make a request. Some rights have exceptions, so we may need to keep information where the law permits or requires it.

Your right to object

You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests and you always have the right to object to direct marketing. Tell us what you object to and why; we will stop unless the law allows a compelling reason to continue.

Questions or complaints

Please contact us first at [email protected] so we can look into the issue. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You can complain to the ICO.

Changes to this notice

We review this notice when our services, providers, or use of personal information changes. We will publish the revised notice here and update the date above before a material new use begins.
